Does Amazon Take Apple Pay?

Apple Pay has a wide range of benefits and is accepted by over 60 different countries and works with more than 10,000 banks. It is a quicker, more secure way of paying for items.

However, Amazon lets you use Apple Pay but not many of their vendors have enabled the feature.

So, what other workarounds Amazon’s users having iPhone or iPad can try to make payments online or in store? Read on to know everything you should know about Amazon payments, what digital wallets Amazon accept, and what other payment methods they support.

Does Amazon Accept Apple Pay?

Although, Amazon allows vendors to accept Apple Pay wallet payments, but it seems that not all vendors have enabled digital wallet payments which lead iOS device users to use cash, credit or debit cards.

Amazon accepts Apple Pay, Visa Checkout, and Masterpass as digital wallets now. However, it’s up to individual vendors to enable the feature. Hence, we’ll need a workaround until we can easily use Apple Pay on Amazon for payments.

So, I’ll walk you through the steps of using your new Apple Card to buy items on Amazon by transferring Apple wallet money to bank account.

Before that, if you are an Amazon vendor and willing to enable Apple Pay wallet payment option but don’t know how to do this, then follow the below process.

How do Amazon Vendors Start Accepting Apple Pay Payments?

Amazon allows vendors to set up only one wallet payment service at a time from all supported digital wallet payment services.

Depending on the digital wallet you’re integrating, the steps may vary slightly and you are required to get in touch with the provider of that wallet.

When integrating a digital wallet like Apple Pay, it follows the following steps:

You will have to sign up for an Apple Developer account and complete the certification. The payment processing certificate must be in the .p12 file, which you need to upload to Amazon Payment Services back office. Your website will need a valid SSL certificate.

Furthermore, you are required to have website’s FTP or cPanel access so that you can access files directly from the root.

At last, you will need to provide Amazon Payment Services with your Apple Pay developer account details. It helps Amazon to activate payment processing for the Apple Pay wallets.

Note that our Apple Pay integration allows you to accept Apple Pay for in-app or Safari browser payments.

Some of these include Amazon Pay, credit cards, debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, Union Pay, and many more), etc.

Besides all these payment options, Amazon customers can also use the Amazon.com Store Card and Amazon gift cards, as well as personal checking accounts and EBT cards.

If Amazon sellers enable it then iPhone users can easily make Amazon purchase payments online or in-store using Apple Pay Wallet or else they need to add their Apple Card to Amazon Wallet as a payment method.
